New Meowings about Life with Tonya by Henri of Twin Brook!

I, Tonya of Twin Brook, have something to meow about! This message is for anyone who is thinking about adopting a homeless or shelter cat. I know that kittens and very young cats are very appealing because of their youth and playfulness, but an older cat can bring much joy into your life! An older cats will be very grateful for your kindness and will reward you with affection, purrs, headbutts and gazes of adoration. We also know all about litter boxes and the proper use thereof. We will never turn against you! We will not climb and texturize the new living room drapes! A few catnip toys will bring us much pleasure. We won't nibble on your favorite plants! The mature cat does not dash around the home, leaping over tables and chairs as if they were possessed by demons! At night we are content to sleep at your feet or at your side and will let you enjoy a full eight hours of sleep because we know and understand the ways of the human caregiver. An older cat can give you five or six years of devotion and love and perhaps even more.. So the next time you see a older kitty who is up for adoption, please look a little more closely and see the charm and beauty that she or he might bring into your life! On April 17, 2007, I found my 'forever' family! Although I am a little pudgy around the middle and my steps are not lively and brisk, their love for me has brought me comfort and affection and I return it with my purrs and soft meows. I am a very lucky cat, indeed!
